We are proud to introduce Lorien Kidney Care, the only dialysis center in Maryland located on-site in an assisted living community campus. The program was founded with a vision to create cohesive and skilled dialysis care that addresses the complex needs of chronic kidney disease residents at Lorien Harmony Hall Assisted Living and Lorien Columbia Skilled Nursing Facility as well as folks in the surrounding community. By offering this service, we are able to avoid transporting residents for offsite dialysis, which is difficult and disruptive. The residents no longer have to endure inclement weather conditions and uncomfortable transportation because the center is within the same building.
Lorien Kidney Care’s dialysis services allow residents to receive dialysis in a beautiful, comfortable and familiar setting - while also reducing risk, improving continuity of care and providing residents and their families with peace of mind. Our dialysis stations are positioned near large windows and comfortably equipped with a massage chair complete with optional heating and individual televisions. Additionally, we track multiple quality assurance mandates in compliance with CMS to ensure consistency and excellence in quality of care. Just one more way the Lorien team is leading the way in senior care.
